Q: What kind of music do you use?

A: We believe in using music that encourages congregational participation, glorifies God, and is rooted in sound doctrine. We value both the great hymns of the faith passed down from previous generations and contributions from more recent songwriters. Our congregational singing comes from the Majesty Hymnal and is normally accompanied by piano and organ (sometimes strings and winds as well). If you have a musical gift, we would love to involve you in the ministry of music at Holden Baptist Temple!

Q: What should I wear?

A: There is no dress code at Holden Baptist Temple. On any given Sunday, you'll find members in coats and ties or jeans and t-shirts. We do believe, however, that the way we dress can reflect our attitudes toward worship; we encourage everyone to come in your "Sunday best," recognizing that looks different for different people.

Q: What denomination is Holden Baptist Temple affiliated with?

A: Holden Baptist Temple is an independent church. As such, we do not answer to any denominational hierarchy; rather, our church government is congregational. We welcome fellowship with like-minded churches, but in accordance with our best understanding of New Testament teaching and practice, we place ourselves under no authority outside our congregation except the Lord Jesus Christ.

Q: How large is your church?

A: Our attendance ranges from 20-50 on any given Sunday. There is always room for you!

Q: Do you have a nursery, junior church, or special programs for my kids?

A: Our childrens' programs fluctuate based on the needs of the families in attendance. Please ask our Pastor or one of our greeters about these programs the next time you visit.
